July 16, 2007 July 16 - Cambier/speaker Chace/Greeter. Bob Gibbs will run the meeting in Pres Lori's absence. No fine cards this year - Club will run a tally sheet in increments of $5. Happy times may be applied to the tally. July 17 Tuesday Board Meeting - At Barbara Jewell’s office, 279 Front Street, Danville. Future Board meetings are the third Tuesday of each month July 23 - Pres Lori encourages us to show our pride with a very high turnout for District Gov. Stan Smalley's visit accompanied by Assistant Governor Guy Greco. DG Smalley will meet with the Board at 10:30. Cambier/Greeter Last Week's Speaker - Lynn Leach - "How to be better Americans". Speaker/Greeter Responsibilities - Click Here Video Projector - The club now owns a video projector and powered speakers for video presentations. The club does not own a computer or DVD player. See Pres Lori to schedule the equipment. July 30 - Chace/speaker Chadbourne/Greeter Prospective Member – Steve Kay owns Allied Financial Services at 4115 Blackhawk Plaza Circle, Suite 100 in Danville. Sponsor - Tony Leonard. Please give Steve a warm welcome. Soccer Jersey Drive - Mustang Soccer League is mandating new uniforms for all teams this year. As a result, 3000 players will have old jerseys that potentially could go on to impoverished children of other nations. Bob Chace proposes that we collect as many Jerseys as possible and find a new home for them in Latin America. Sounds like a great project! Discovery Center - Thom Martin in his Discovery Center Role accepted a $2,500 grant check approved at the joint meeting of old and new Boards. Leadership San Ramon - A representative of the program accepted a check for this year's participation by the two Bobs - Gibbs and Chace. Bulletin Editor Change – Effective July 1, please direct all information for publication to Vic G. January 16-20 2008 - Club invited to Monterrey Mexico to see our completed hospital project. Gold Nugget Drawing - Dick Whittemore pulls the gold nugget for $100 and gives it to the golf account for youth activities. July 16 the gold is worth $25 for both members and guests.
