Rotary Membership Month
August 6 - Our speaker today is Hendrik De Boer, director of World Impact in West Oakland. Hendrik established his ministry to the West Oakland multi-cultural community after serving as a chaplain at the Wichita, KS penitentiary. He has an interesting story to tell about how Service Above Self has changed lives in communities suffering neglect in environments most of us would not even want to visit. Greg Clark is hosting, Kathy Chiverton greeting.
July 30 - Anne Struthers from Contra Costa County Social Services told the club about the county's efforts to assist
indigent families and foster children.

Map Painting Project- Christa Peterson will coordinate with school staff when the summer break ends - a Saturday morning project for late August/early September.
Golden Gate Fields Outing - Tentatively scheduled for December 1, the club needs 35 signups to go as a group. Sign up sheet will circulate at meetings. Past Pres Jeff coordinating.
Summer Social - Tentatively scheduled for late August or early September. Señor Reginaldo Ybarra is making the arrangements with Luna Loca.
Board Meeting Update - This year the club will fund one Leadership San Ramon Tuition and six SRVHS Scholarships - 4 scholastic, 1 community service, and 1 arts. Club is still considering a women's athletics award to complement the Peter Villa Awards for football. Club is considering extending Camps Royal/Venture invitations to Venture School.
No fine cards this year - Recognitions and Happy Times to be tracked on a tally sheet in increments of $5.
