October 6 - Foundation Day - Your gift of $100 for drawing tickets will earn $100 in Paul Harris credits but not a tax deduction because it is a drawing. Pres Lori seeks your support of this activity. Tickets are available from Pres Lori and Gary Vilhauer.
Last Meeting Sept 17 - Lt. Dennis Kahane, formerly a Danville Rotary member and local attorney, currently in the Sheriff's Department, gave us an interesting presentation on the county's operation. Check their website at www.cocosheriff.org for interesting information about the community.

Map Painting Project - The second map project is on for Saturday September 29 at Windemere Ranch Middle School, on East Branch Parkway in San Ramon. Start time is 7:30 in order to finish before the midday sun.
September 29 - Carboload - San Ramon Rotary's classic fundraiser benefits the YMCA among other things.
Six Club Meeting October 3 - Diablo Country Club, 6 pm cocktails, 7 dinner: Ann Lee Hussey on Polio Eradication.
Ann Lee has received Rotary’s highest Rotarian honor, the Service Above Self award. In 2006, she received the Rotary Foundation International Service Award for a Polio Free World. But her real mark has been her travel to India, Egypt, Mali and Niger to work on a Rotary National Immunization Day (NID) volunteer team. She has participated in 10 NID's, immunizing children against polio. She now co-leads NID teams and is currently planning NID's to India in December and Nigeria in February. Our own RI Past President Cliff Dochterman will make the introduction. Don’t miss this very special evening.

LPGA Longs Drugs Challenge/Wheelchair Fundraiser - We have gifts totalling $900 yielding $3,600 for wheelchairs thanks to double matching. You may be able to slip in under the wire by calling Jeff Behring immediately.
Guy Houston visits December 10 as part of the Peter Villa Awards. Sports fans, see Gary Cappelletti to participate in the judging this year.
