This Week January 14 - Pres Lori, Pres Elect Bob, and many club members are lunching in Reno as our club meets. (Reno Train) Pres Elect Elect ElectTony Leonard has the podium. Social Meeting, no speaker. Mike Murray is the greeter.

Last Week January 7 - Councilman Mike Doyle introduced Director of Disaster Preparedness Greg Gilbert who talked about Emergency Preparedness in Danville. A very interesting presentation and call for action.

District Newsletter - DG Stan's latest newsletter is now available at the District website. www.rotary5160.org.
District Conference –
- Thursday April 24 is a recreation day - golf tournament in the afternoon, a Hold'em Poker Tournament in the evening. Players must be registered at the conference.
- April 24 Friday night activity is a prospector themed western barbecue with hospitality provided by the clubs as in past years. Everyone will enjoy this casual event.
- April 25 The entertainment at the Saturday night dinner will be Mumbo Gumbo, a musical group that defies easy description. "Ask the members of Mumbo Gumbo what they call the music they've been developing for 16 years, and you're likely to get blank stares, confusion, and eventually, laughter.”
- Register for the event, then come and go as your time and interest dictates.
Gold Nugget Drawing - Mary Kay Foss came up empty handed - today it is $50.
