Last Week January 28 - President Elect Bob Gibbs presented his 2008-2009 Board: Pres Elect Barbara Jewell, Secretary Kathy Chiverton, Treasurer Bob Chace, Sgt at Arms Reggie Ybarra, Vice President Mike Burton. The new Vice President role is called Executive Secretary in some clubs. It is a position that helps maintain continuity from year to year. Congratulations to all!

District Conference –
- Thursday April 24 is a recreation day - golf tournament in the afternoon, a Hold'em Poker Tournament in the evening. Players must be registered at the conference.
- April 24 Friday night activity is a prospector themed western barbecue with hospitality provided by the clubs as in past years. Everyone will enjoy this casual event.
- April 25 The entertainment at the Saturday night dinner will be Mumbo Gumbo, a musical group that defies easy description. "Ask the members of Mumbo Gumbo what they call the music they've been developing for 16 years, and you're likely to get blank stares, confusion, and eventually, laughter.”
- Register for the event, then come and go as your time and interest dictates.
January 22 - Board Meeting Results - Board voted 1) $1,500 for a soccer field in Zambia, Bob Chace 2) $100 to send 2 Interactors to leadership retreat, Jim Cambier 3) $1,000 for SRVUSD Student Recognition Project, Lori Sato. 4) $100 for Eagle Scout Project - Alamo Cemetary historic documentation, Vic Georgiou. Del Amigo High School project still being discussed, Mike Burton and Barbara Jewell.
Gold Nugget Drawing - Chuck Bloch strikes gold, wins $100, gives it back to the club. this week it is $25.
