Thank you Steve Kay - Not only for showing up early and brightening the meeting as a welcoming Greeter, but remembering to bring a nice door prize instead of the usual (yawn) $10 bill. Last Call for District Assembly April 12 - Vacaville - These sessions are every bit as professional as corporate training in a major company. There are a variety of interesting topics for everbody from Red Badges to those looking to assist at the District in future years. It's also an opportunity to visit with DGE Jim Campbell and meet his assistants. The only cost to members is gas and a bridge toll. They even treat you to lunch before sending you home. See Pres Lori to participate. Last week March 31 - Pres Lori presented a feature article from Rotary Video Magazine describing the disaster to children that follows from the AIDS epidemic in Africa. Friday, April 4th -Interact is presenting a Cultural and Talent Night which includes performances, dinner, silent auction, and raffles. All the net profits will be going to Heifer International, the district project. San Ramon Valley High School will be collaborating with other schools in the area, California, Monte Vista, and Dougherty Valley, to host the event. Location: St. Phillips Lutheran Church,8850 Davona Dr., Dublin, CA Date: Friday, April 4, 2008 Time: 6:00-9:00pm Attire: Casual Ticket: $20.00 (adult), $15.00 (student) April 9 - Four Way Speech Contest South District Runoff at San Ramon Valley Rotary. April 14 - Brad Blake will talk about College is Real, a program he started and that Jim Crocker is involved in. Greeter Gabe Allende. April 21 - Speaker will be Dr. Steven Stargardter, President of John F. Kennedy University speaking on the University's community outreach program. Greeter Bob Beaton. District Conference -April 24 -26 at the Radisson in Sacramento. DG Stan Smalley's newest newsletter is now available at the District Website Friday May 16 Del Amigo Breakfast - The club will visit the school and prepare breakfast for about 160 children. Saturday May 17 Multi-Club Fundraiser - Hold'em Poker Tournament. $100 buy in. Non-players $20 admission. Pleasant Hill 4 to 10. See Mike Burton. Gold Nugget Drawing - Prospector Kay Jones finds the mother lode, takes out $175, donates it to the Foundation. Thank you, Kay! This week the pot goes back to $25.
