Our July theme is Service to Country.
Monday July 21 - District Governor's Visit. DG Jim Campbell will meet with the incoming Board at 10:00 at the Brass Door prior to the regular meeting.
July 22 - Board Meeting 5:00pm, Mike Burton's office.
Last Week - Michael Gleysteen, Special Agent, ATF gave a remarkable presentation on the efforts of the ATF to control the "really bad guys".
Bulletin Editor Thanks Kathy Chiverton - Kathy will take over the printed bulletin while Vic G hits the road from July 28 to August 18, more or less. The website will not be updated during that time.
Reminder - Members please pay by check or invoice remittance to cut down front desk work.

Get Well Soon Tom Ohlson - Tom is now home and getting around, though a little slower than usual.
2008 Speaker Chair Jim Crocker - Please give your speaker recommendations to Jim.
District Conference Oct 23-25 in Concord this year - That's less than four months away, and close enough that every Danville Rotarian can attend some part of it without an overnight stay. Reservation form can be found at the District website, and there will be a copy of the back of the July 14 printed bulletin. Fifteen percent discount for signing up by August 31.
Club Giving Goals: Gates Matching Grant for Polio - $1,000; Community Service $38,500
International Service $7,000 ; Rotary Foundation $11,600
Other Club Goals: Every member active on a committee ; Expand fundraising to increase giving ;

Rotary Day at Golden Gate Fields: $30 admission with 10% going to Rotary. It's in October, we need to reconfirm the day and date.
Gold Nugget Drawing - The pot is $75 this week.
